h4 visa help

hi,

i got my h1b stamped in jan 1st week. i got married in jan last week.
now i am planning to apply for h4 for my wife. can anybody tell me what are all the documents i need to submit. still i am in india, and i am planning to travel with my wife.

I CANT SUBMIT MY PAYSTUBS ETC THINGS BECUASE STILL I AM IN INDIA. PLEASE SUGGEST ME THE DOCUMENTS LIST TO SUBMIT AND PROCEDURE TO ATTEND VISA.

Even I have similar issue, I have got my H1B visa, I am still in india, and I want to apply for H4 for my wife and kid, can i have more details on the H4 visa application process.

My wife got H1B in february.She is now in India only.My inteview for H4 On April 11 went like this.

I took the appointment with my old passport.I got my new passport after endorsing wife name.I informed at the counter regarding passport change.They told that to write new passport number on DS 156 sticking off old passport number.

Documents i carried are

DS 156
DS 157
Interview letter
DD2300
HDFC reciept
Spouse passport copy
Spouse original I797
Spouse I129
Original marriage certificate
20 photos and aslo album
Marriage invitation cards


Questions asked by the VO(lady)at counter 2 .She was cool and almost before she gave visas to 10 people without asking too many questions

Where is ur wife now
Wahts ur spouse name
Whats ur spouse fathers name
Where ur spouse father lives
How much spouse salary
Which company spouse working
where they are located
When u got married
Where marriage was held

thats all she told to pay the fees
