Delay in getting EAD card

Hi,

I currently switched my visa from H1B to H4 and got my Employment authorization approval notice too (C26).
It's been 3 months but i have not got my EAD card yet.
we called USCIS and opened another service request.
I have my SSN already since i was working previously.
Meanwhile i have another job offer where they are asking me to join in a week.
Can i start working with the approval notice and without the EAD card at hand?
