US visa availability _URGENT, NEED ADVISE

I have been trying to get an appointment at Mumbai consulate for visa interview for last 4 weeks without any luck. i am looking for end of august or middle of Sep and still do not see any. Is there something that i need to do differently to get an appointment for an interview scheduled? My wife needs H4 visa stamped. She is traveling back on Oct 4th and is pregnant. I also have a daughter, who traveled to India with my wife and is US citizen. I am very worried that she may not come back soon enough.
What are my options? Please advise.
I looked for other consulates as well and do not see any availability. Does anyone has similar experience? Can someone please advise?

Even I'm trying to get an appointment in Sept without any luck. Anyone with tips how to book in 4 weeks? Even when I find the Next available date in Sept 15 one time, I'm unable to find the right time slot before I get the maximum tries and unable to book the interview. How do you book a slot? Is it just luck if you want to get it in September?
