I797 document not returned by embassy , it was stapled with passport

Hi ,

My I797 was pinned to the passport when in entered Delhi embassy today and same was kept along with passport after the interview .

Can someone please advice if its a normal procedure or I need to follow up with embassy to get it back ?

Normally they see the original and ask and keep only the copy of it. If you dont get it back with the passport you should ask for it.
