H1-B Petettion Applied on Aug -12

I have Applied for H1-B Petettion(not a Premium Processing one) on August 12,but its not yet approved as of now.Will there be any deadline for closing all the applications?

Was your H1B (I-129) filed in Vermont Center?

If so...the same case here. My wife's H1 was filed in Vermont center. The receipt date is 10-Aug-2005. But no response yet. In the USCIS.gov website the status still says...."it takes around 150 days to process such applicaiton....."
