Hello,
My I140 is approved and my H1 (6th year) is expiring in Mar'17. I have also received MBA admission in a non-US college and it is going to start in Jan'17.
I plan to go on 1 year leave of absence and join back my current employer after MBA is completed in Jan'18.
Please let me know what my employer will have to do in order to ensure that I can come back to USA after Dec'17. Can they apply for H1 extension using approved I-140 , in Jan'18
If my current employer doesn't agree to let me go on leave for 1 year, can I come to USA through any other employer? (I-140 portability etc.)
