converting F1 to H1 without completing degree

    converting F1 to H1 without completing degree

    Please let me know how safe is it to convert F1 to H1 for residency when I won't be finishing my PhD degree. I have been on F1 for the last 2 years, and my I-20 is valid till 2011. Won't visa officers circumspect leaving PhD program in 2 years when i submit my documnets for conversion if they see I-20 valid till next 5 years more. I am in US now.

    You can get H visa based on your master's degree. F to H is easier compared to other way.

    H visa is dual intent visa so it is preferred.

      no i m not taking any degree , i am just leaving the program inbetween
