  • Question regarding stamping, during transition from Employer A to Employer B

I am currently working for Employer A, and i have a valid visa stamping till March 2017. I am now planning to move to Employer B, and I also have travel plans outside US.
So I have some concerns, I was wondering if someone can clarify my questions.

    1. Do I need to get visa stamped again, if I move to employer B before leaving the country. Can i enter the country with current stamping ?

    2. Lets assume I can enter the current visa, what are the required documents that I need carry with me ?
    I am sure I need a valid 1-797 with Employer B.
Employment verification letter is not a problem.
My concern is the paycheck, Since my travel plans are right after I move to new job, I am not sure If I would have a paycheck by then.
Are paychecks needed in this case ?

    1. You can use the same visa to enter States as long as it is valid.
    2. When I entered, I mentioned that I work for a different employer. They did not even ask my i797, I haven't heard they check for paystubs at the port of entry [Seniors can comment here]

No one does not necessarily need to go for stamping if already having a valid visa. The biggest drawback of not going for stamping is the visa date no longer matches the I797 and while returning the officer might grant you I-94 only till the visa end date rather then the petition end date.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
