Does DV Visa Lottery jeopardize H1B ?

Hi all,

My employer will (hopefully) apply for my H1B visa early next year.

I was wondering if I can still apply for the DV visa lottery this week or whether an entry in the green card lottery could jeopardize my upcoming H1B visa application?

Any help/thoughts much appreciated!
