H4 waiting spouse PERM,then I140/EAD. If I apply for H1B, do I jeopardize green card?

My spouse is H1B in early stages of green card (prevailing wage determination), I am on H4. I am considering options to get a work authorization. Option 1) Wait for PERM and I-140, apply for EAD while on H4. Option 2) Find a future employer to sponsor H1B. Will option 2 jeopardize my green card process as an H4 dependent? We are from Europe so our timelines should not be extremely long, but H1B may still be a faster way to start working.
