  • H1B transfer

    Hi friends,

I have a query about h1b transfer, I had worked in USA until 2011 and my h1b visa was renewed in November 2010 but then I moved back to India in May 2011 due to various reasons.
One of my friend told me that since you already had h1b visa and major of it still unused so I should be able to come back only if a company is ready to transfer h1b. I would like to have more insights on this if this has happened with anyone.

and also can you please suggest companies with which you had good experiences. I am having 13 years of experience in java related technologies and still working as an IC in India.

    thanks in advance,
    -VK

Yes you will be cap exempt till May 2017 ( 6 Years from your last held valid H1 status).

This is my opinion not legal advice.

thanks a lot, as we know that h1b is for 6 years (3+3) so does it mean that my time will begin or it will continue with what I already spent.

6 years minus time already spent in US on either L1 or H1.
