Visiting Canada while H1b transfer is in progress

Hi,
I al already working on H1b with employer A. I will be joining employer B in December first week under regular processing. I am planning to visit Canada in last week of December. I will not get accept/reject result by then, as regular processing can take months. Is it safe to travel to Canada or I am looking into some risk while immigration ?

Advisable to upgrade to premium or delay the trip. One needs a valid visa as well as valid I797 approval notice while entering US.
