US Congress is meeting on the 27th of March '06, to decide doubling the existing H1 quota.

If the bill passes, will it affect FY2006, or just FY2007 onwards?

Any help will be greatly appreciated....

I guess its for 2007 quota.

I dont know how Chennai Consulate will handle that rush. Its very crowded now when quota is 65000 only and its taking 3-4 months for administrative processing.
How much time it will take if quota increased to 1,15,000.
