  • Received H1B extension I797-B without I-94 and current I-94 expired. Please help !!

    Hi,
My employer has applied for H1B extension on 5th May 2016 for my current H1B VISA, which has been expired on 27th August 2016.
Now I have received H1B extension I797-B without I-94 which is valid from 15 November 2016 to 28 Feb 2018 and having Chennai consulate on the same.
My employer has opened a service request with USCIS for the above issue.
    Note:
    1. My employer applied I-129 petition with a start date 28th August 2016
    2. I was never out of county during my extension process
    3. I am working with same employer
    4. My I-94 expired on 5th Sep 2016
Q1. What should I do in this scenario?
Q2. Is there any chance that USCICS can reissue I797A along with I-94 attached?
    Please guide.

    Regards,
    V Jain

Is going back to India for visa stamping the only option available? what are the chances for successful stamping if I go to India for stamping ?

You can try going to a neighboring country US consulate too. As for chances it depends if you have strong documents.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
