Travel to India

Hi,

My father is critically ill and want to travel to India as soon as possible.

My current status is : I am on H4 and H4 visa stamping is not valid as my husband changed the job last year.
On uscis site H1B shows status "Approved" since 5th dec 2016, but my employer didnt get back to me.

If i travel to india and go for visa stamping is it possible that i get H4 stamping done and H1B things are filed later when i am back to US.

Confusing post. Why would your spouse changing job invalidate your H4? Further have you filed a H4 to H1 COS?
