I am coming to the US on an F1 and will be bringing along my wife on a F2. I have been hearing that it is usually easy to get the job once you are in the US as you can personally meet your potential employers. But my question is this: Is the conversion from F2 to H1 easy (for my wife). Also, we will be arriving in August. Is there a time duration when the US Immigration grants H1 Visa ? e.g. if she is able to get a job in about 5 months (say December 2006), can she start working from January 2007? Or is it mandatory for her to start working only after October 2007? Please let me know.
