Hi All,
I am currently in US on L1-B visa and will applying for H1B this year.
I want to complete Masters in Computer Science/IT while I'm here...which would also increase my chances of H1B selection in the Advanced Degree cap, in case H1B doesn't turn up this year.
My question:
In case, the online part time MS degree doesn't have a CIP code from any of the STEM designated programs (https://www.ice.gov/sites/default/fi.../stem-list.pdf), would it not make me eligible for the Advanced Degree cap of 20000 for H1B selection?
OR
the CIP code from STEM designated programs is only required for OPT extension? and I will be eligible for H1-B Advanced Cap since it all it needs is a MS degree (STEM or non-STEM)?
Would be great if someone can clarify.
