H4 Extension need H4 EAD extension ?

Hi,

I need some help for my spouse H4 (I 94) extension please.

My spouse received H4 EAD card based on my H1B expiry date which is in Mar 2019, but my spouse H4 visa is getting expire in Jan 2018. Now i need to extend my spouse H4 to get I 94 till Mar 2019 as per my H1B.

So my question is do i need to apply only for my spouse H4 I 94 extension alone (H4 is getting expire in Jan 2018) ? or do i need to apply for my H4 EAD also (H4 EAD card will expire in Mar 2019) ?.

Please help.
