Thanks so much for taking your time to read my post.
My H1B visa is expiring on October 31st 2017. And my wedding date is on September 3rd 2017.
As my employer's attorney said they can't process visa extension beyond 6 months earlier to the expiry date, I have been told by my employer to start extension process only from May 1st 2017. And unfortunately Premium process has been put on hold from April 2017.
In this case, Please help me in clarifying my questions:
1) Can I come back to US in September 2nd week after my wedding in India? (as my visa is expiring on October 31st 2017)
Will there be any problem at immigration in US point of Entry? Since I will have just 40 days left of valid visa while returning back to US, I am in dilemma on planning my trip. Please help me with your valuable suggestions / thoughts / ideas
2) As my Visa Extension(Normal mode) will be In-progress and I may not have approved I-797A petition on hand in September on my return trip in point of entry, Please let me know your thoughts if only 'Receipt Notice' is sufficient in-case when asked in the immigration regarding my visa validity or extension process.
