Changing employer in OPT during H1 process

I am currently on OPT. My H1b has been applied from my current employer. Now I have a very good offer from another employer.
Can I change the employer now? Will this affect my F1/OPT status?

Do I have to wait till lottery result to change employer?
Am ready to withdrawn H1b from current employer.

FYI: My new employer ready to file h1 next year.

Please suggest.

Was H1 applied as COS? You cannot unilaterally withdraw the H1, the employer has to do so.

Yes , as COS.

Yes, am aware of it. I can ask my employer to withdraw it .
