H1B selected, joining a non-profit employer, cap-exempt for future for-profit employe

I was selected and approved for last year lottery. At the end, I joined a non-profit company instead without joining the company that filed for my last year h1b.

Am i eligible for cap-exempt petition if i join a for-profit employer now?

Since it has been approved, it has been counted under the cap, so your current employer should be able to file for cap exemption.
