Eligibility for quota exempt H1 Q

I work for a non profit private K12 school as a high school teacher. I am currently using my H4- EAD work permit. Wondering if the school can apply for my H1? If so, will it be quota exempt?

Assuming that a schoolteacher is a legit H-1B job (I would argue that it is), then yes, your non-profit employer would not be subject to cap
