H1B Amendment approved, old visa still valid, can I travel without getting stamp?

Hi All,

I recently changed my role in same organization. My company filed for H1B amendment, which got approved 4 months ago. My old H1B visa, I 94 and I 797 is still valid till next year.

I have to travel outside the country in next 2 days due to family emergency. Can I travel and come back without getting new visa stamped?
