Restamping questions please answer URGENT

My H4 valid till jan 2007, visa expeired in 2004 sept. I am in india in blore now and i have booked appt thru vfs for aug 8th in New dlehi will that be a problem? please let me know if i try to reschedule for a new date by the time i fill everything will the date change or will it remain same??
ALso if i can change the location to chennai if i get an early date there.
Its very urgernt please answer

HI,

1. For H-4, u can get in any consulate.there is a slot for May 10 in Mumbai if u can get all the documents posted 5 days before,u can go for it.

2. there is a risk in rescheduling,actually cancelling(because u can no longer reschedule to a prior date without cancelling).I'll advise u to rebook only when u see more than one date available..

3. keep checking the site and do it thro a system with a high speed connection and just fill the mandatory fields in the forms .

4.If u r not able to book thro the previous dates(if someone else has grabbed it)u'r current appt in august is also gone (it takes some time for the system to release it)so u have to book on whatever is going on (aug end in delhi now)

5.From my personal experience, i feel u get slots opened in Mumbai and delhi more than Calcutta and Chennai, and the May 10 slot in Mumbai I am seeing for the past one week..

I just read ur answer sounds good. i dont want to take a chance. Do u know how to go about it in mumbai the details please.
I also read ur question fopr h4 stamping and i am in the same boat too. My husband is not with me he is in US and i have to go alone for stamping.
