Lost prior I-797 approval from my previous employer. I have a scanned copy. I am going for visa interview but I am not concerned about previous i-797 being lost.
However, few yrs back, I asked previous employer ( the one who is the petitioner for lost i-797) but he is not responding to my requests. I tried many times/ways but all in vain.
My question are-
1. Does 'original prior I-797' needed in future ? If yes, then for what ?
2. How to request dup copy of I-797 from USCIS without going through (non-responding) employer ?
3. It seems form I-824 , to request dup copy of I-797, is only for employers and not for me. Also, if I am not wrong, I-797 can be requested for current ( or non-expired ) I-797. Can someone please provide guidance.
