H1 Extention Denied while new amendment is pending.. Need Urgent Help!!

My petition was expiring in March 2017 so my company filed an extension in Dec 2016. I was in 240 days period when I got an RFE in Aug 2017 and responded for the same. Also my company filed an amendment for another client and it’s in premium processing waiting for response. My 240 days completed by October 2017 and I m currently not working. Yesterday I looked at USCIS website that my RFE petition has been denied. Can I still stay in US and wait for the amendment petition that was filed for new client to be approved?

Any help at the earliest is much appreciated!!
