H-4 Visa tranfer-Urgent

Hi Everybody,
I would like to get some advise on h-4 visa tranfer. I am on h-1b since Dec 2003. In November 2005, I switched employer. My new employer applied for my visa tranfer but not for my wife. My wife has H-4 from my previous company, and is valid till July, 2007.She will be travelling to India in few days and I have following questions:
1.Does her H-4 has to be transfered before leaving for India?
2.Can she travel with her old H-4 Visa, since it is valid till July 2007.
3.Can she apply for tranfer of visa in India (Chennai Consulate) and is it advisable?
4.What are documents she has to carry for her trip?
5. Will she have any problem re-entering US
If you have similar experience or situation or have any helpful information or tips, Please pass it along.

You have two options here...

1). You can applied for transfer of H4 visa for ur wife in USA.
2). When she will travel to India, apply for visa. Catch here is that as visa is valid until July 2007, consulate may not issue new visa s consulae issue new visa if vi is expiring in 90 or 60 days (I am not sure about time period, you can check INS site).

In either case your wife should not have a problem entering back to USA
