H1B Extension

Hi,

My H1B visa end date is June 17 2018 but I am planning to travel to India in April for personal important reason.
What is the best possible way to file extension?
Option 1: File now for extension in Non premium so that when I will be travelling to India, the extension will be in processing state.
Option 2: File for extension after coming back from India with a gap of 50+ days from Visa Expiry Date.

Note:Am working for a reputed Indian IT company.

Please give any suggestions

Hi,

Option 1: I think if you travel out of country when petition is in processing state with USCIS, it will be cancelled.

Option 2: I think this option works if you return US before May.
