FIRED!! Gust after H1B got approved.

Please Help!!
I was working on F1-OPT EAD for 6 months, and my H1B got approved a month ago. Today, my employer told me that they will fire me in a week. I want to stay in the US, and I don't know what to do.
My F1-OPT EAD card has still 45 days of unemployment period left before it expires in May. I am not sure if this card is still valid, or is there a way to make it valid again.
Can i use 60 days of grace period of H1b and then switch back to F1 EAD to use ? Please help, I don't know what to do. Start looking for job is THE answer, but how can I give myself maximum time for finding the job?
