H1B - 221(g) - Administrative processing .. Need help

Folks!!!

I got a query(221(g)) when I first attended the consulate interview in Chennai last december. I had sent the required docs recently thru VFS drop box and got my Passport, DD along with a new 221(g). The query says that some 'ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING' is going on and visa can be issued only after the process is complete and the consulate will get back once it is done. Anybody has an idea about how they would contact me and how many days it would take. What is this 'ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING' all about.

Any help on this would be highly appreciated..

In this u can see the link to another file which is pdf click on that see whether your case number is there .

Case number is the number in your 221g form.

Just check it out.

Case number not there means rejected?????!!!!!!!

Had they rejected my VISA or are they still doing "administrative Proceesing"?
If they rejected Will they inform the reason why they rejected?

If they reject ,Can I apply again for New Visa in new quota?

Pls help me to come out out from this worst situation...

Hi Sudha

First tell me which color of 221g form you have received. If its blue kindly go to the site mentioned above and check for blue one. If you received pink handout then if ur case is not there then contact consulate.

I have got Blue 221g with case no 020-845(attended 2006 Jan 20),I am not able to understand How to see in this following website.

In that file only people who got pink sheet cases are listed. Even i got blue sheet. So we all have to wait untill we get a response from consulate.

So wait till that. If u need more clarification properly read the site.
