H4 EAD status to valid H1B status enquiry
Hi -
Here is my case and would really appreciate your response.
I have a valid H1B visa (from 06/2016 to 06/2018) and I have another 2 years left on my H1B.
However, I moved from H1B to H4 EAD more than a year back so that I can buy myself more time on H1B. So currently I am on H4 EAD status (valid from 11/2016 to 11/2019).
With all the speculations around the proposals made by Trump administration to remove the H4 EAD, I would like to understand the following:
1. Considering a situation where H4 EAD option is removed by USCIS, Can I go back on my H1B status without any issues?
2. Will I have enough time to take that decision? so it does not affect my current job and stay in the country.
3. Is there any action on my end to be taken now / any better suggestions.
