I was on valid L2 status till 05-Nov-2017.
My I-94 got expired on 05-Nov-2017.
Before I-94 expiry, we had applied for L1 and L2 extension. We received an RFE for L1 extension. During that time on 28-Nov, my spouse status got converted from L1 to H1 (different employer).
On 10-Dec-2017, i filed L2 to H4 COS (I-539).
On 28-Dec-2017, the L1 employer withdraw the L1 extension petition (as H1 COS was approved with another employer), so I received denial for L2 extension petition.
Question: I am still awaiting L2 to H4 COS. Can I still stay in US after the L2 extension denial as I have already applied for L2 to H4 COS?
I can still wait and stay legally in US until I receive the decision for L2 to H4 COS. Is that correct?
