CAP EXEMPT H1B transfer

Hi guys

I am currently working for a non-profit org A with a cap exempt h1. I am considering jumping to another non-profit org B. I think B can sponsor my h1b. Got some questions.

1) Can my cap exempt h1b from A be transferred to B, or should B file a new h1b for me?

2) If it can be transferred, how long will it take?

Hi Jerry,

First of all, there is option of H1B transfer as well. It has to be new filing by your new employer. As along as you did not use all 6 years of H1B stay, the new employer can file for a new H1B. All you need to stop working for current employer and start working for new employer based on LCA and approval dates.
