Hi everyone, I have a relatively complicated situation here: I left the US in the end of 2012 with about 10 months of unused H1B, which will expire after 6 years , I.e. end of this year. My current company is trying to transfer me to its US office this year, and they plan to file PERM before I relocate to the US so I?d be able to renew H1 later. Due to all the preparations needed, such as PWD and recruitment,/the earliest time my PERM can be filed is June . My question is: if I start in July or August , do I still have 11 months of H1 to recapture? Or it will expire in December regardless when I start?
Another question is: how long does the recapture take? Is it just like H1B transfer that you can pretty much start working right after the petition is filed?
