H1B petition is still valid for stamping

I am having the following query - I got my H1B petition Approved which was Valid From: 01/10/2015 and Expiration Date: 31/03/2018. I have not got my visa stamped on this petition, as I was in UK for some project work.
Now I am looking for a job in USA (same employer under which I got my H1B petition Approved). Could anyone please let me know if my H1B petition is still valid (valid for extension) or do I need to apply again for H1B lottery?

Please note I have not changed my employer.

You dont need to go through the H1B lottery and you are eligible for extension.
