SSN & Name validation during H1B stamping
Hi All,
I have got my extension papers and planning to travel to India. I need to do stamping as the previous visa expired. I am wondering if there will be a cross validation of your name and SSN (like how they verify you when you go for a license in DMV) during the stamping process as well. The reason I ask is that I always have a hard time with these checks. I had the FNV issues in my name and just got corrected this in my new passport. So if the embassy tries to validate my proper name (per new passport), am sure they won't have any success with that. I went for a license renewal recently and had to wait 2 weeks for the verification from SAVE to complete. I am a bit worried that this might lead to administrative processing? It would be great if anyone has some useful info.
