Hi,
I graduated from a US univ this month.I am still on F-1 status. My employer filed H1-B visa for me on June 1 2006, but USCIS sent my application back as cap was reached on 26 May 2006. My OPT starts from 25 July 2006, so that means I can work untill 24 July 2007 and including grace period of 60 days I can stay in US until 24 September 2007.
Now I will file for my H1-B in April 2007, as far as I know it takes 3 months for processing. Say if my H1-B is approved by June or July, but I can start working on H1-B from 1st October (as per the rules). As I mentioned above, I can stay until 24th september 2007 including the grace period. What are my options to keep my status legal for these 6 days (24 september 2007-1 october 2007)?
Thanks
