H4 renewal - Urgent Pl. help

Both of my kids are studying in elementary school in US. We are planning to visit India this month. They are on H4 visa.

In DS156 application should I mention that they would be studying in US. Will this be a problem since they are not on F1 visa. Somebody told me that F1 is only for studying bachelors and above. Pl. clarify.
