  • H1 visa stamp

    Hi,

My H1B approval has more 1 1/2 year to complete the 6 year limit and has not stamped on the passport. My labor has filied. If i plan to go to India in between(say on Aug, 2006), i need to go to the US consulate to get my passport stamped. So, my question is ..is it safe to travel india at this situation? What are the chances of getting visa(especially in Chennai Consulate)?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks,

As long as you are getting pay-stubs regularly and have W2&tax returns for the years your in US, you are good to go. Refer Visa section for details.
