Cap exempt H1 query

My employer hired me on a cap exempt H1B back in 2013. However, due to a family emergency (parent involved in car accident while visiting me in the USA), I moved to India and quit my job in 2014. After this I was on H4 visa (my spouse was on H1B) for a few months. My employer is open to hiring me again should I decide to relocate to the USA. Can the cap exempt H1B visa that got approved back in 2013 be revived or reused for this purpose?
