Partner in a Business on H1b

Hi,

I am working in USA on H1B visa for an employer. My H1B visa is stamped for this employer only. Now i am planning to run software recruitment consultancy business , as one of the partner with my family friend who got settled at US long time back. My family friend got citizenship and he is having lot of other business. Is it possible to start a business as one of the partner with them while i am in H1B.

If you donot have green card, you can not run business.

You cannot even work as a no pay volunteer in most cases, let alone for pay.
