Hi
After your visa interview, if they decide to issue you a visa, then they will take your passport and keep it with them. They would then stick the visa leaf on a page on your passport and send it to you usually by courier within three working days depending on the distance of your place from the consulate.
Incase they decide to not issue you a visa then they give back your passport to you.
Incase they decide to put you on administrative processing or on 221g, then also they would give you back your passport as far as I know. And then when they contact you after the processing is done then they will tell if you need to revisit the consulate or if not just drop the passport in the VFS dropbox at a place nearest to you.
This is what I know from hearsay. I hope this helps. But if somebody else does also post their actual experiences then that could be more true. Good luck anyway. And I dont see any reason for anyone to restrict you from doing any other international travel during the time of administrative processing. I think they are independent of each other and you need not worry about that.Last edited by new; 06-20-2006, 05:32 AM.
