Help: H1b in 6th year but expiration date on approval notice allows 2 more years?

Hi,

I started working in H1b in Oct 1st, 2013, so I already entered my 6th year. I changed job in January 2018. The H1b approval notice for my current job shows a valid period from 01/27/2018 to 01/15/2021. Does that mean that my H1b status will be valid until 2021?

In my previous job, I have an approved I140. The green card process for my current employment has not been started.

Yes, if you have the approved I-140 (even if this is of your previous company)
you may still get 3 years of extension
