Passport Number changed (for H4) is it a problem for appointment

I have taken an appointment for my wife in July; after taking the appointment we came to know that there was a spelling mistake on her passport ( spouse name ( My name) misspelled) , hence we sent the passport back to Hyderabad passport office for correction assuming that there will not be any change of passport number. however, now the passport office issued a new passport with new passport number along with old passport , but my wife's DS-156 and interview letter pointed to Old passport number. Is this going to create any problem to her appointment.? if any of undergone the same situation, please address me

It will not be any problem attend US Consulate with both the passports..And explain to VO about the mistake in old passport...It is accepted...

take old passport along with New Passport on the interview date and explain the problem. They will allow U.

You wont face any problem there on this Issue.
