Hi,
I'm in H-1B status, going to leave my current company probably at the end of this week or next, then start 60 days of grace period.
Yesterday I noticed that in my most recent I-94 record of Jun 2018, my current status is showing F1, however my H-1B was activated in Oct 2017. My last I-94 is with the correct H-1B status which will be expired in 2020, this is matching with my I-797. I'm very concerned if this incorrect information will cause serious consequence when I start the grace period. I sent my I-94 correction request to Deferred Inspection Site. It it currently processing.
Not sure usually how long it will take to finish the update, and what could be the actual impact if the correction is not finished in time when I leave the company. I'm still trying if I can extend my days at current company. I'm very worried. Is there anything else I can do in my current situation?
