How to renew Minor Child's USA passport in India

I didnt find a separate category for this, so had to post the query in this category. Sorry about it

My 5 year old Son holds a USA passport and we are currently living in Bangalore. His US passport is expiring in few weeks and we are looking to renew his passport.
Anyone has experience renewing it in India? Do they renew US passports in Bangalore Outreach Program?
What is the process and steps to get his US passport renewed in India?
