Appointment before H1 petition approval

Hi,
Is it possible to book an appointment before H1 petition approval?
I got my H1 receipt. I am in 7th year extesion.

From my personal experience, you cannot book an appointment without the approval.

There are 3 parts to the application S-156, DS-157 and Petition Details.

In Petition Details you are required to provide your Petition No, Petioner Name and the Petition Expiry Date. Petition Expiry Date is available only when you receive the approval notice (unless there is any other way that I'm not aware of).

If anyone knows how to file the application with the Petition Expiry Date, please do let me know.

Hi,

I've already scheduled an appointment with an expiring H1 receipt no. I am going to get renewed H1 with a different receipt no. by the scheduled appt. time. Can we still attend for the scheduled appt. with old receipt no. and show the officer new receipt no.
