Hi everybody - Here is my problem:
Mid August 2005: resigned job on academic H1B
End of August 2005: departed from US to India - but H1B visa on passport was not cancelled and it was supposed to be valid till March 2007.
Jan 2006: Rentered US on a F2 visa and at this time the H1B visa was "cancelled without prejudice" at the US consulate in India.
Till now on F2 visa in US and am about to get another job on academic H1B.
If I'm employed after mid-August - I'm technically not on H1B visa for more than one year.
So am I eligible to get a fresh H1B visa with another 6 years? Does my presence here on another visa negate this?
