F1- OPT to H4

Hi,

I have a situation, i'am all i'am holding H1B papers valid untill feb 2009. My wife is on F1 visa now she has graduated and she is half way through her OPT her OPT expires Dec 2006.Since we are planning a trip to india i was planning on visiting the US Embassy in canada for H1 visa stamping. I wanted to take my wife along with me, can i have her attend H4 visa along with me.

1.Do i need any other docs other than the H4 docs to be submitted (My I797 and LC papers, pay subs,marriage crt, ect)?
2.Does she need to apply for change of status from F1 to H4 and then attend.

Please advice, Appreciate your help.

You have not mentioned if your visa has expired. Do ensure that yours is a strong case for stamping at the border, otherwise you might be redirected to attend the visa interview at your home consulate.

Yes my H1B visa expired in feb 2006, i had it stamped from the US Consulate in Canada last year.
