Spouse's name in passport ????

Hi All,

Is it necessary to add wife's name in Husband's passport ( Husband is going on H1) before going for stamping ??? In my case i will be going for stamping in 1st week of October...I have just got married and my wife's name is not there in my passport till now...So is it Compulsory to add her name ??? My wife is not coming withe me to USA on H4...She will be coming after a year or so....

Please reply so that i can start process if its required....

It is better if you include your wife's name in your passport. You can avail 'Inclusion of Spouse Name' Service. You submit EAP -I form duly filled and submit with marriage certificate, wife's passport copy (if she has got) and proof of stay if the present address differes from the one in passport.

Note : The procedure is same if one wants to include her husband's name in the passport.
